themeet140 tweetup is a very pleasant, random crowd, gathering every so often in cities near you.
Founded by @markofrespect and @Chris_Hall1, our first themeet140 was held at the fantastic Tibits in London on the 21st April 2010 where over 20 of us had a great laugh. Since then we’ve held events all around the UK including Glasgow, Bedford, Cheltenham, Aberdeen, Liverpool and Brighton and internationally in Sydney and soon Amsterdam and New York.
themeet140 is for everyone, it brings people who’ve met through social media together, but it’s not specifically a social media event. It’s low-key, laid-back fun with no pressure to be anything but yourself.
There’s no agenda, just come along to see old friends and make new ones, discuss social media or just pure banter. This is the social part of social media and we love a diverse crowd.
